Why you should quit disposable vaping devices

Why you should quit disposable vaping devices

Disposable vaping devices have been around since the very beginning, however the popularity seen amongst disposable devices is new. Geek Vape released their disposable device called the Geek Bar and took the industry by storm. In such a short space of time, all the biggest vaping brands are creating their own trying to get a piece of the pie.

But why should you stop using them?

Although we have to admit they are convenient and easy to use, we’ve compiled a list of reasons why you should stop using a disposable vaping device.

  1. They’re expensive!

Yes, they might only be £4-£6 a device, but you’re only getting 2ml of e-liquid (some contain even less!) which the average user will go through in half a day! Our e-liquid sells for £3.99 for a 10ml bottle of e-liquid or as low as £2.99 each when you buy 10 at a time.

Now compare a £5 (on average) disposable device with 2ml of e-liquid with one bottle of e-liquid at £3.99. You’d need to spend £25 on disposables to have the same amount of e-liquid which is a ridiculous amount!

If you purchase one disposable a day, you’ll be spending £35 a week. You can buy a vaping device and enough e-liquid for cheaper which will last you well over 3 weeks. Going forward you’ll only need e-liquids & coils/pods which is even cheaper! The average user spends £7 a week on e-liquids and coils.

  1. They contain the highest nicotine strength by law!

Of course, you can find the odd disposable brand with a lower nicotine strength, but the vast majority only offer their devices with 20mg of nicotine. Our most popular strength of nicotine is either 3mg or 8mg (higher strengths are available). But you need to ask yourself, do you really need 20mg of nicotine? For most users, the answer is no.

Not only do they contain 20mg of nicotine, they also use nicotine salt which is a much smoother hit on the throat. That may sound like a good thing; however, it is very deceiving as you may not notice how much nicotine you are putting into your body.

Our 10ml VAPEcom e-liquids use regular freebase nicotine which is more common. Try this in an 8mg and you’d experience the same sensation as 20mg nicotine salt.

  1. They’re bad for the environment

Each disposable vaping device contains materials which cannot be recycled. To be using a device with a lot of plastic and a battery for only half a day before being disposed of is never a good thing.

Using a regular vaping device with 10ml bottles of e-liquid produces far less disposable waste. Many bottles of e-liquids are recyclable too.

What are the alternatives?

We would recommend getting yourself a vaping device which is refillable. There are many devices to choose from, but if you like the size of the disposables, then why not have a look at the Vaporesso XROS Mini vaping device?

It is of a similar size, but the main difference is that you can refill the pods with e-liquid. The way you use it remains exactly the same. Just inhale and it will automatically activate, creating vapour. Recharge the device quickly using the USB-C cable provided.

We sell this particular device for only £17.49. Pair that with a couple bottles of e-liquid to last you a week, and you’re still better off compared to buying disposables.

Make the switch, you won’t regret it! You’ll have more control on your nicotine intake by choosing the correct strength you need. You’ll also have a much wider choice of flavours available. All while saving money!
